Dr. Claire Zimmerman joined Fit Naturopathic at Fit Wellness Centers to support the philosophy and mission of Andrew Simon, ND to build a sustainable center for health and wellness in the Ballard and greater Seattle community. With specialities in digestive health, autoimmune conditions, anxiety, stress management, pain management, and environmental medicine, Dr. Zimmerman has extensive training and a strong passion for botanical medicine, and loves to bring herbs into treatment plans as appropriate. She has additional advanced training in Biofeedback/Mindbody medicine, Craniosacral Therapy, Visceral Manipulation, and hydrotherapy.
Dr. Zimmerman teaches at Bastyr University in Kenmore, where she assists student physicians in the Department of Naturopathic Medicine for the Mind Body Medicine, Clinical Medicine, Counseling, and Physical Medicine departments. She is actively involved with Hydrotherapy and Philosophy projects with Bastyr.

Claire Zimmerman’s prior experience in clinical herbalism and training at Bastyr University provides a framework to understand how the whole person is a complex interwoven system, with many variables, always seeking towards balance. She views her patients as perfect, wherever they are in their healing process, and believes every individual has an innate healing potential. She utilizes the framework of Nature Cure and Vitalism in her clinical approach. In her spare time she loves to hike, rock climb, travel, and spend time with friends and family.
