Jean R Don joined Fit Naturopathic working as a massage therapist for the past few years and will soon be entering a role as a Naturopathic Physician in 2018. He specializes in Naturopathic Medicine, Physical Medicine, personal training & Mind Body Medicine techniques. Don uses safe researched methods for treatment and hands on therapies to help his patients feel better faster.
Jean-Roberto Don is trained as a naturopathic doctor dedicated to providing high quality integrative healthcare. &&&&&&, Dr. Jean R Don pursued a medical degree at Bastyr University where he earned his Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine, and will be licensed in April 2018.
Jean R Don believes in a holistic approach to physical medicine, providing alternative solution for chronic pain. By combining different physical therapy and manual therapy techniques with nutrition, counseling and biofeedback techniques that could help addressing the underlying cause. Jean specializes in physical medicine, sports injuries, pain management, stress management and weight management. He has advanced training in Biofeedback/Mind Body Medicine, Craniosacral Therary and IV Therapy.
Jean-Roberto Don was born and raised in Haïti. He came to the States when he was 17 years old. The transition was really challenging for him but nonetheless, he has always managed to overcome. While in high school he joined the high school football team which taught him about leadership. He’s a member of Phi Theta Kappa Society and had helped with their health and science fairs around campus which showed him the importance of teamwork. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Science with a minor in Public Health from the University of South Florida. He volunteered at the Hospital, Moffitt Cancer center for two years and worked as an EMT in Florida before moving to Seattle, WA to start the Doctorate program in Naturopathic Medicine at Bastyr University. He has experienced firsthand the relationship between patients and medical professionals, which has given him a clear understanding of what he would experience working in the medical field. He is involved with Naturopaths Without Borders and has gone on medical trips to Mexico and Haiti, which gave him an insight of what to expect; immense responsibilities and hard work because of the lives of the patients that he’ll be in charge of. He is also a licensed massage therapist in the state of Washington and a certified kinesio taping practitioner. He has played; soccer, basketball, and football growing up. He enjoys watching sports, working out and spending time with his family and friends.
As a Naturopathic Doctor, his hope is to be able to empower people to reach and maintain their ultimate health potential without pain and a couple pounds shed off… through natural treatment, genuine care, education and life-changing support.
Jean R Don takes a common sense approach to health and focuses on calming and balancing the nervous system to decrease pain in the body naturally. Increasing range of motion through a spectrum of techniques helps keep people feeling and moving their best. He believes that helping people manage their pain or recover from injuries can help remove a large barrier to exercising and losing weight.
When it is easier for people to utilize natural ways to balance blood sugar, decrease stress, and optimize health the body heals naturally. By helping patients tackle complex health conditions with small simple changes, over time they will succeed in making lasting changes. Through awareness of ones own body signals certain health tools learned in a visit can immediately be utilized. Jean R Don takes a common sense approach to restoring the body to fitness, and enjoys seeing patients at Fit Naturopathic Center in Ballard.
