Dr. Jessica Wendling joined Fit Naturopathic at Fit Wellness Centers working as a massage therapist for the past few years and has entered the role as a Naturopathic Physician. She specializes in Naturopathic Family Practice, Physical Medicine, Biofeedback & Mind Body Medicine techniques. Dr. Wendling uses safe researched methods for treatment and hands on therapies to help her patients feel better faster.
Jessica Wendling is a naturopathic doctor dedicated to providing high quality integrative healthcare. After receiving her BS from Central Michigan University, she worked at Beaumont Hospital as an exercise physiologist. It was there, in the cardiac rehab department, that she noticed how simple dietary and lifestyle changes could reverse chronic disease and enhance quality of life. With a new passion for preventing and even reversing chronic disease, Dr. Jessica Wendling pursued a medical degree at Bastyr University where she earned her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine.
Dr. Jessica Wendling believes in seeking the root cause of disease and teaching patients how to safely integrate natural medicine into their conventional care plans. She empowers patients, teaching them how to take charge of their health and future. Dr. Jessica Wendling is also a licensed massage therapist and incorporates bodywork into most of her treatment plans.
Dr. Jessica Wendling is an adaptable clinician with experience in diverse clinical settings including hospitals, community clinics, and oncology research clinics, along with international outreach as the former president of the Seattle chapter of Natural Doctors International. She also contributes to KNOW, the Knowledge in Naturopathic Oncology website, where she is responsible for critical evaluation of medical literature related to cancer treatment. Dr. Jessica Wendling is a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians, Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians, and American College of Sports Medicine. Additionally, she has received specialized training in IV therapy, botanical medicine, qi gong, craniosacral therapy, homeopathy, and visceral manipulation.
Dr. Jessica Wendling takes a common sense approach to health and focuses on calming and balancing the nervous system to decrease pain in the body naturally. Increasing range of motion through a spectrum of techniques helps keep people feeling and moving their best. She believes that helping people manage their pain or recover from injuries can help remove a large barrier to exercising and losing weight.
When it is easier for people to utilize natural ways to balance blood sugar, decrease stress, and optimize health the body heals naturally. By helping patients tackle complex health conditions with small simple changes, over time they will succeed in making lasting changes.
