The initial appointment includes an interview, diagnosis, and treatment and lasts for about one hour. Follow-up appointments last about 45 minutes. The frequency and duration of treatment depends on the type of issue being
addressed. In general, acute injuries require 1-2 treatments per week over the course of 2-3 weeks, while more chronic issues will require treatment on a weekly basis for an average of 8-10 weeks. During the initial intake your
practitioner will give you a prognosis for treatment of your specific condition and answer any questions you may have.
Acupuncture is generally a very pleasant experience. Most patients are able to achieve a relaxed state, and some patients even fall asleep. The insertion of the needles is minimally felt. Common sensations that the patient may feel
include dull, achy, or a heavy sensation. If a patient is uncomfortable for any reason, the patient may communicate the feeling to the practitioner who can adjust the needles accordingly.
Acupuncture treats a wide variety of conditions, the following is a list of some common conditions, but there are many more not listed. Please contact us to learn more about how acupuncture can help you.
Allergies & Asthma, Anxiety/Depression, Headaches & Migraines, Low Back Pain & Sciatica, Neck & Shoulder Pain, Joint pain, Chronic Pain, Fertility Support, PMS, Insomnia, Stress Management, and Digestive Disorders just to name a few.

A visit with a naturopathic physician at FIT Wellness Centers is about identifying your health goals, and addressing health concerns in a non-rushed, and focused holistic approach that is highly complementary to traditional medicine. Naturopath’s have the ability to prescribe many common primary care medications, but have special training in behavioral medicine techniques to optimize nutrition, exercise, and herbal medicine approaches.

Many common health conditions you would see your primary care physician for, including anxiety/depression, stress, digestive complaints, sleep disorders, pain, urinary problems, and much more. Naturopathic Physicians can refer to other providers if need, order lab tests for evaluation, and even prescribe many common medications to a pharmacy.

New patient paper work, including the patient information form, history form, and patient responsibility form, require 15 minutes to fill out before your first visit. You can also access these forms online ahead of your visit Here.

Any relevant medical records are best brought with you at your first visit. A release of records form is available from the office manager to release records from other health care providers. The form is ideally filled out in advance of or after your first office visit. The process to receive medical records from your previous or current provider can take up to 2-3 weeks.

If you have any forms you would like the Naturopathic Physician to evaluate prior to your visit as a new patient, please contact our office, and we will provide you with our secure messaging platform KLARA, for you to upload your forms securely, this additionally allows the naturopathic physician to communicate with you securely.

Procedures may be additionally used depending on the chief complaint, however it is important to understand that not all procedures may be covered by your insurance, and may require a co-insurance, we will assist in this process for commonly used procedures including physical medicine codes, labs, outside lab fees.  These fees are generally between $20 and $60. Patients paying by cash, check, or credit at the time of service will receive a 20% discount for services if not covered by insurance.
Patients have the option to bill their insurance company for the visit.  Our office provides an insurance verification service to our new patients, however this is in no way a guarantee of coverage.  We contact your insurance provider and verify your current coverage as a courtesy.  If we are unable to verify your coverage before the end of your visit, you will be expected to pay in full at the time of your visit.
